When Anxiety Starts Taking Up Too Much Space

Anxiety Can Affect More Than Your Thoughts

Everyone experiences worry from time to time. Anxiety can become more difficult when fear, tension, or persistent worry begins interfering with your relationships, work, school, sleep, or everyday activities.

You may feel constantly on edge, have difficulty quieting your thoughts, or notice physical symptoms that make it even harder to feel settled. I provide a supportive space to talk through what you are experiencing without judgment.

Understanding Your
Anxiety Symptoms

Anxiety can affect both your mind and body. Depending on the person, symptoms may include:

  • Excessive or persistent worry
  • Feeling nervous or constantly on edge
  • Difficulty controlling anxious thoughts
  • Trouble concentrating
  • Irritability
  • Muscle tension
  • Racing heartbeat
  • Shortness of breath
  • Restlessness
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Avoiding situations because of anxiety
  • Feeling exhausted by ongoing worry

Understanding your particular symptoms and the circumstances surrounding them is an important part of determining appropriate care.

Care Based on Your
Individual Needs

I do not believe anxiety treatment should follow a one-size-fits-all formula. During an evaluation, I consider your symptoms, history, lifestyle, current stressors, previous treatment, and goals.

Treatment may involve medication management, supportive therapy, lifestyle strategies, or a combination of approaches when appropriate. I will explain my recommendations and work with you to determine a plan that feels realistic.

Support That Looks Beyond the Symptoms

Sleep, relationships, work, school, physical health, and daily stress can all influence how you feel. My approach considers these factors alongside your psychiatric symptoms.

Through telehealth, I provide psychiatric care across Michigan, allowing you to meet with me from a private and comfortable setting.
